Sarsaparilla Ice Cream Parlor and Gift in Idaho City

We love going here when we visit Idaho City. The staff are very pleasant. The selection of ice creams, sweet treats, collectibles and quirky stuff really adds to the unique feel of the shop. They have great outdoor and indoor seating. We love visiting Idaho City and I highly recommend the sarsaparilla.

This place was pretty awesome. Took kids for ice cream. Good prices. Also, you can just pull up on a side by side and park. Then head back to the trail.....lol

Expensive, but Ohhhhhh so worth it. Love the cabin type decor. Rustic. Warm and staff even though running their self through customers, take their time while you sample the icecream you are interested in. Very happy and happy to have gone there.

This place is fantastic! The sweetest people ever work here! Greatest, kindness experience ever. I haven't even met them, but I needed someone to come through on a gift delivered to my daughter from their business ordered from Arizona site unseen. They did such a great job, honest delivery, a sweet order of flowers, chocolates and balloons. They went above and beyond their scope and I couldn't be more appreciative! This place is hands down a class act and I can't wait to shop there in person when I come to visit. Thank you for being so amazing! You are a needed business!

Great shop. Owners are down to earth and friendly. Try their ice cream with homemade waffle cones with a jelly bean on the bottom of the cone.

This place has some of the best waffle cones! Cute little shop and the staff has always been friendly and patient while the kids take forever to pick out their flavors of ice cream.

A great place to take kids or to just go to get some quality ice cream. There is some fun mini golf in back and I enjoyed playing that with my family. Their ice cream is probably the best in town and they also make excellent sandwiches. I will definitely be going back again.

Great folks, great coffee, fun novelty gifts. Didn't try any ice cream or baked goods, but they looked wonderful!

A great stop in Idaho City for ice cream. We love the huckleberry ice cream and the milkshakes. They have a nice porch to sit outside and enjoy your treat. The staff is super friendly.

Staff wasn't too friendly, I asked for a bowl but she got me a cone. I didn't notice until she scooped one ice cream scoop in it. I told her I asked for a bowl, she silently threw back the ice cream in the container and grabbed a bowl, only looked at my sister as we checked out and grudgingly told us to have a nice day. I'm sure if the mix up didn't happen, it would've been a 5 star experience. Ice cream was good and the building was cute and rustic look to it.

Great time in Idaho City included Wild Mountain Blackberry ice cream, Huckleberry ice cream and Salted Carmel ice cream. All three were very good but Huckleberry is the winner. The Sarsaparilla Ice Cream Parlour was very fun to go into as well.

The whole building is up for sale, well worth the drive, I hope who ever buys the place keeps it open.

Good ice cream milk shakes

Neat lil' shoppe in Idaho City. Lot's of items to purchase. We stopped to try out the ice cream, nothing to special about it, 2 scoops of hand-scooped ice cream (small scoops) for $4.50. The drive is always nice!
